“It’s been one weird year.”
~ Andrew Whitworth
Am I right? With all the other craziness that’s happened over the last 12 months, is anyone really surprised that the Inauguration is going to be different this year too? In years past, hundreds of thousands of people from all over the country, including many educational and performance tour groups, would travel to Washington DC to watch the pomp and circumstance in person. This year, only approximately 1000 people, all members of Congress and their personal invites as well as a few past Presidents and First Ladies, will be able to do this. The rest of us can watch from the comfort of our home, which is appropriate considering we’re still in the middle of a pandemic.

How Can I Watch The Inauguration?
All of the major news stations will be live streaming the events of the day. Here are some quick links to some of your options:
However you decide to watch, it’s sure to be a special event featuring a star studded line up of performances from Lin-Manuel Miranda, Justin Timberlake, Bruce Springsteen, and Jon Bon Jovi among others. Additionally, we’ll be present for the swearing in of the first female, not to mention female of color, Vice President, Kamala Harris. A special day indeed!
